A Vicar, asked for directions might say “Left at St Mary’s, right at St Margaret’s and it’s opposite St John’s” whereas,

folk like us would say “Left at the Crown and Anchor,

turn right at the King’s Head,

and it’s opposite the Pig & Whistle”.

I’ve noticed that many pictures of country walks posted by members of walking groups feature Churches. Not sure what that says about us walkers and cyclists, but in the interest of political correctness I’ve decided to base this week’s Le Tour de Coddenham stage on local hostelries.

Not forgetting to snap the odd flower along the way.

(BTW, it was a Solo Breakaway again as the Peleton opted to stay home and do her Pilates.)
